At Kailash Handicrafts, we take great care in packaging every handcrafted product before it leaves our hands. Once packed, your parcel is handed over to a trusted third-party courier service for delivery. This policy explains how shipping works, what charges apply, and what you can expect after your order is dispatched.

How We Ship Your Order

Kailash Handicrafts carefully packs each product and hands it over to a third-party courier partner for onward delivery. We do not operate our own delivery fleet.

We partner with reputed courier services operating across India to ensure your order reaches you safely and on time.

Our packaging promise: Every parcel is securely packed to protect your product during transit. However, once the parcel is handed to the courier, Kailash Handicrafts is not responsible for delays, mishandling, or damages caused by the courier company.

Section 02

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are determined by the courier service based on parcel weight, dimensions, and delivery location. These charges are collected from the customer and are displayed transparently at checkout.

Please note: Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part (wrong or defective item sent). All courier rates are passed directly to the customer without any markup.

Estimated Delivery Timelines

Delivery timelines are estimates only and may vary based on your location, courier capacity, and external conditions.

Delays may occur due to:

  • Public holidays and festive seasons
  • Courier partner delays or disruptions
  • Adverse weather or natural events
  • Regional restrictions or blockages
  • Force majeure events beyond our control
Kailash Handicrafts is not liable for delays once the parcel has been handed over to the courier. We will make every effort to assist you in tracking and resolving courier-related issues.

Order Processing Time

Orders are typically processed within 1 – 3 business days of payment confirmation, subject to product availability.

  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next working day
  • During festive sales or high-demand periods, processing may take additional time
  • Customised or made-to-order products may require additional production lead time
  • You will receive a shipment notification with tracking details once your order is dispatched

Shipment Tracking

Once your order is handed to the courier, a tracking number will be shared with you via email, SMS, or WhatsApp.

You can use this tracking number directly on the courier’s website to monitor your parcel’s movement in real time.

Tracking information may take 12–24 hours to become active on the courier’s system after handover.
Section 06

Shipping Address Accuracy

You are solely responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address at the time of checkout.

  • Full name, flat/house number, street, locality, city, state, PIN code
  • A reachable mobile number for the courier’s delivery agent
  • Any landmark or special delivery instructions
Incorrect address? If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, re-shipping charges will be borne by the customer. Address changes cannot be made once an order has been dispatched.

Failed Delivery & Returned Parcels

The courier will attempt delivery up to 2–3 times before marking it as undelivered and returning it to us.

A delivery may fail due to:

  • Recipient unavailable at the delivery address
  • Incorrect or incomplete address
  • Customer not responding to courier calls
  • Inaccessible delivery location
If your parcel is returned to us, re-shipping charges will apply. Original shipping charges are non-refundable in such cases. Please ensure someone is available at the address or coordinate with the courier for a re-delivery slot.

Inspection Upon Delivery

We strongly advise customers to inspect the outer packaging carefully before accepting the parcel from the courier.

  • If the package appears visibly damaged, tampered with, or open — do not accept it
  • Raise an issue with the delivery agent on the spot and note their employee ID

Record an unboxing video when opening your parcel. Per our Refund & Returns Policy, an unboxing video is required evidence for any claim involving damaged, missing, or incorrect items. Claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Transit Damage & Lost Parcels

While we pack every order securely, Kailash Handicrafts is not responsible for damage caused during courier transit.

However, we will support you in every way possible:

  • Raise a complaint with the courier on your behalf
  • Assist in tracking a lost parcel
  • Evaluate replacement or resolution as per our Refund & Returns Policy

For transit damage claims, please share your order number, photos of the damaged product, and photos of the packaging — along with an unboxing video if available — within 48 hours of delivery.

Section 10

International Shipping

We ship to selected international destinations. International shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the courier’s actual rates for weight and destination.

International customers are solely responsible for customs duties, import taxes, VAT, and government clearance fees levied by their country. Kailash Handicrafts has no control over these charges and is not responsible for customs delays or restrictions.
  • International returns are generally not accepted — see our Refund & Returns Policy
  • Delivery timelines vary: typically 10–21 business days after dispatch
  • We are not liable for parcels held, seized, or delayed by customs authorities
Section 11

Non-Serviceable Locations

Some PIN codes or remote areas may not be serviceable by our courier partners. In such cases:

  • We will notify you at the time of checkout or after order placement
  • You may provide an alternative address that is serviceable
  • If no alternative is available, the order will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued

Changes to This Policy

Kailash Handicrafts reserves the right to modify, update, or replace this Shipping Policy at any time without prior notice. Any revisions take effect immediately upon publication on the website.
